Scripture demands that believers expose sinful behavior associated with the works of darkness such as adultery, greed and pride. However, some Christians instead display a collective complacency towards sin, excusing rather than correcting. Such complacency is itself sinful. Believers are called to live in accordance with God’s commandments, exposing and shedding spiritual darkness.
