Let Us Not Become That Which We Condemn

This is a difficult post to write. It requires every ounce of faith, grace and love that I can muster.

I typically find my posts incredibly therapeutic. As I bear witness to the disasters wrought by our POTUS, his administration and his MAGA acolytes, the need to vent often overwhelms me. My faith is tested, however, as I endeavor to exercise restraint in the judgment of behavior without the judgment of souls, the purview of which is the Lord’s alone.

Yet I see many who succumb to their anger and pass judgment on the salvation of POTUS and his enablers rather than their behavior – becoming hateful, slanderous, vengeful and merciless. In other words, they become the very thing we despise in Donald Trump. And just as he will be judged for his hypocrisy, so will we all.

So, I beseech you…let us not become that which we condemn. That is the very definition of hypocrisy.

Like all of us, Trump is a sinner. I cannot judge as to whether or not his sins are worse than my own, but I do pray for the Lord’s mercy – for myself, for POTUS, and for his apologists. Donald Trump needs our prayers. His enablers need our prayers. Jesus went to the cross for POTUS just as He did for each one of us. But Christ’s sacrifice is in vain if we fail to repent, to forgive, to obey, and to love.

Now, back to our regular programming…
